Berbsteigen in Saalbach Hinterglemm

Mountaineering in Saalbach Hinterglemm

"Mountaineers take care" - Saalbach Hinterglemm is not just biking, hiking and strolling. There are also some high and steep peaks you can climb. If you look around the end of the valley in Hinterglemm, you feel the spirit of the moutains right away. The trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm start off nicely in the valley, but we leave the high rope park behind us and approach a real summit.

It will be the summit of the Tristkogel. The trail becomes steeper and steeper as we come close to the geographical border of Salzburg and Tirol. Here the joker card is useless - there are no cable cars any more. Here you need skills and a good shape. Close to the Saaljoch the trail bekomes even more steep and really technical. What you really need on the way to the Tristkogel is good traction on the trail. Although it is a hard climb, at the summit there is a fantastic view over the valley and the mountains of the Salzburger Land.

In the distance you can see the glaciers of the Hohen Tauern. You always wanted to climb the Großglockner, the Wiesbachhorn, or the Großvenediger? Ask in you hotel for a guided tour or some good information about hikes and climbs in the Hohe Tauern. Would'nt it be nice to have a picture of you on top of the Glockglockner?

HERE you will find the right hotel for you
